Every child develops differently. You may notice that your child is using fewer words than expected, having difficulty putting words together, becoming frustrated when communicating, having trouble understanding language, or being difficult for others to understand. If you have concerns, a conversation with a speech language pathologist can help determine whether an evaluation may be helpful.

An evaluation helps us better understand your child's communication skills, strengths and areas where additional support may be helpful. We will also talk with you about your concerns and your child's development. After the evaluation, we'll discuss the results and recommendations with you.

Therapy is personalized around your child's individual needs and goals. For young children, sessions are play based and engaging, using activities, toys and everyday interactions to help build communication skills in a natural way.

Yes. Little Sunflowers provides in home speech and language therapy, allowing children to work on communication skills in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Not qualifying for a public program doesn't necessarily mean your child wouldn't benefit from additional support. Little Sunflowers works with families who may still have concerns about their child's communication development even when their child does not qualify for Early Intervention or school based services.

A one hour speech and language evaluation is $200. Therapy sessions are $100 for 30 minutes or $125 for 45 minutes. We also offer a free phone consultation for families who would like to discuss their concerns before getting started.
